Half term seemed to fly past which is quite worrying being that the summer holidays are now only six weeks away. Here’s a snapshot of what we got up to while I think up plenty of activities to keep the girls busy throughout the summer.
We spent a long day travelling to Lydden Hill in Kent for the British round of the World Rally Cross Championships. It’s now officially my favourite motor sport I think!
Rediscovering my favourite childhood books with my daughter. I love the Narnia series and it was just as magical reading a chapter as an adult. I treasure my copies, especially as my grandmother bought me each of the books. I’m going to start at the beginning and read them all once more.
We visited a couple of parks in Bath and the local area, where my feet got the only contact with sand that they will have for a while in the play area. We looked for tadpoles, frogs and newts while spending a beautifully hot at afternoon at my parents. I love my mother’s garden, so relaxing and the frogs gave hours of enjoyment.
I’m looking forward to the summer break as long as the weather is just as nice! Remind me of that again three weeks in! Everyone I’ve spoken to has already come up with a full itinerary of activities for the holidays! I think I’d better start getting creative.
